Mobilizing leaders in Seattle to increase water access in rural East Africa

EARDF’s mission is to build wells in rural Somalia and a base of leaders in Seattle who develop local support for our work overseas .

(EARDF) is a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization founded in 2008 by Raghe Ahmed, a Seattle resident who came to the U.S. from Somalia in 1994. EARDF is currently building its sixth well, located in Hiiraan, Somalia.

EARDF builds leadership skills among local Somali-Americans. They, in turn, work to involve other Seattle-area residents in expanding access to water for rural East Africans.
